Camping, well sort of

This weekend we went camping overnight in Big Cottonwood canyon. Jon's work had it's summer work party there. Who goes camping for a work party? anyway, it turned out being really fun! Hayden loved playing in the dirt, after about 5 minutes he was completly covered. For some reason he kept putting rocks on his head! Wierdo! It was great they had really good food and for the kids they brought a pinata, Hayden wasn't to sure about it, he kept looking at me like are you sure that I can hit this? He was confused because I always tell him he can only hit balls. Anyway it was really fun to take hayden, he was scared to death of the cipmunks and would run and scream everytime he saw one. It was really funny. We found out how much Hayden talks/cries in his sleep and he wiggles like crazy, but after a rough night of sleep I was ready to pack up and head home in the morning.

Lagoon

Sorry, I have been such a slacker about updating our blog. But, a few weeks ago we went to lagoon. Hayden loved it! He could have rode the cars and the boats all day long. It wasn't busy at all so we walked on almost all the rides(well in kiddie land anyway). Jon, took zach, kenz, riley and brennan on all the big kid rides while I hung out with Hayden! Thanks Hun! Anyway, we had a great day! We heart Harmons Day, all the drinks and food for way cheap! Anyway, here are some pictures!

Happy Fourth of July!!

I love the fourth of July! This year was so fun with Hayden. On thursday night we took him to the West Jordan Stampede rodeo and he loved it! He didn't move a muscle the entire time. When it was over he kept asking to do it again. On friday morning we went to the parade and then a bbq in the evening. My sister's neighborhood has a big party with all sorts of blow up slides and Hayden loved playing in the water all evening. By 10 pm we were all pooped, so we watched a few fireworks than came home! But it was a great day, here are so pics! Enjoy!

Yard Progress

Kassie decided to let me post stuff on here as long as it wasn't lame, nerdy, or weird - I'm sure with my posting debut I'll manage all three.

We are hoping to finally finish our backyard (3 years later) so Hayden doesn't have to play in the dirt/rocks/weeds. So I guess I'll be in charge of updating our yard progress (this is the lame part). Here is what we started with:

I've been playing around with a couple of new software programs, Sketchup and Autodesk Impressions (this is where it's going to get nerdy). Sketchup is a free program from Google, it's fun to do quick 3D modeling. Autodesk Impressions is a program that lets you take your boring CAD drawings and give them a hand-rendered look. Cool huh? (Kassie is rolling her eyes now as she is reading this). These pictures help to visualize what I want to accomplish - Kassie's very skeptical of my vision - she'll be impressed if I can just get something green to grow back there.

Last week we had someone come trench and grade our yard and this week I've been working on getting the sprinklers in. The sprinkler installation probably took a total of 3 hours - the other 40 hours were spent digging trenches where the trencher couldn't fit and trying to break through under our sidewalk. As you can see we won't have any shortage of landscape rocks.

Hayden has been very helpful - he filled in the trenches (sometimes ahead of schedule), organized sprinkler parts (I found a few in his bed), and moved rocks (most in the direction of where the cats happen to be sitting).

Baby Addyson

Baby Addyson was born on Monday June 16, 2008 at 12:56 pm. She weighed 6 lbs 8 oz. She is go dang cute! She has dark hair and little dimples! Both mom and baby are doing very well. They came home yesterday from hospital. So here are some pics I have taken of her! yea, finally a girl!

Happy Father's Day!

I just want to say Happy Father's Day to all the Father's! But, I am so lucky because I have the Best Dad, Best Father-in-Law and most of all best Husband in the world! Jon, is such an amazing daddy to Hayden! He is so patient, loving and fun. He works so hard for our little family and never complains. He just graduated from college and works full time fulfills his church callings but, most of all always has time to chase hayden around the house or play tickle fights! I love you so much and am so blessed to have you my husband!

Hayden Loves the park!

With the weather being the way it is the only outdoor activity is the park, and Hayden loves going there. We had the Erekson family reunion on Saturday night, at a park.
